Perfect Holiday Makeup

The holiday season is here. Everything is a little bit brighter and shinier. Everything? Not your makeup, please. Eddie Malter, professional makeup artist, has 3 precious tips to ensure that nobody will mistake you for… the Christmas tree.

Cheeks: Less is more

“Blush should give you a healthy glow, but don’t overdo it. Too much, and one might think you had too much to drink. A peach colour will make you look older. As for bronzer, you’re not going to fool anybody at this time of the year. A light stroke on each cheek is more than enough.”

Eyes: Go dark

“Once again, subtlety is key. If you miss bright colours and glitter, you’re better off applying them to your nails. The trend is toward a smoky eye with hints of gold or silver.”

Lips: Red, your classic go to

“Even if you will see a lot of darker shades this season, I’m not crazy about them, because they make your lips look thinner. A rosy lip balm is perfect. If you dare, a deep red is a classic that can’t fail. The best way to apply it is to put a little bit on your finger tip and gently dab your lips until you reach the desired intensity.”
